Hana Tenklova is originally from the Czech Republic. She came to the U.S. to play indoor and beach volleyball for San Jose State University.

Between the years 2011 - 2016, she had a chance to experience a professional beach volleyball career and competed in a total of 22 FIVB events. Among her biggest career successes are 3rd place in European Championship U22, 5th place in World Championship U19, and 4th place in European Championship U18. Hana also played in three FIVB Grand Slam events, but unfortunately never made it into the main draw.

At San Jose State, she was recruited as an outside/right side hitter. Her biggest passion was always beach volleyball, and she competed on the number 1 team for the Spartan beach volleyball team with partner, Julia Menhart. She also coached for SandLegs during that time.

After three years at SJSU, Hana decided to take another route in her life - she gave up her last year of playing, graduated early after 3.5 years, and started working in San Francisco startup environment. In April 2019, she gave birth to a baby boy Benjamin, and is now a happy stay-at-home mom. She is very excited to get back
